The following guide sets up your Cisco ATA 186 for IraqSat VOIP service. The following instructions require the file ata_03_01_00_sip_040211_1.zip, which can be downloaded from http://www.iraq-sat.net/software.html.
If the ATA is already configured on an IP address, skip this step.
You must perform each of the above steps, every time, in order, for this to work. If the process fails, start over from step 2 and try again.
Open the ATA web page at http://0.0.0.0/dev, where 0.0.0.0 is the IP address of the ATA. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and check to see the firmware version of the ATA. If it is already version 3.01 or later, skip this step.
This step requires the following IraqSat VOIP account information:
| IraqSat VOIP Name | ATA Data Field | Example |
| Username | LoginID0 | ssi_company_name |
| Password | PWD0 | a9fgWQ4j |
| PIN | DialPlan | 123456789# |
| Caller ID | UID0 | 442071080000 |
Caller ID is the phone number used for dialing in. For example, "442071080000" is +44 207 108 0000.
Access the ATA webpage at http://0.0.0.0/dev, where 0.0.0.0 is the IP address of the ATA.
Configure the following ATA settings to match this example. Example data is below.
Make sure the following values have been set correctly:
| ATA Data Field | Data to Enter |
| UseTftp | 0 |
| Dhcp | 0 |
| StaticIP | IP Address of ATA (this a public IP for Tachyon, private for DW1000 and other NAT systems) |
| StaticRoute | Default Gateway |
| StaticNetMask | Subnet Mask |
| LoginID0 | Username, such as "ssi_company_name" |
| PWD0 | Password, such as "a9fgWQ4j" |
| GkOrProxy | voip.iraq-sat.net |
| UID0 | Caller ID / Phone Number, such as "442071080000" |
| SIPRegInterval | 300 |
| SIPRegOn | 1 |
| NATIP | 0.0.0.0 if the ATA is on a public IP, or the actual public IP address for DW1000 and other NAT systems. |
| NatServer | 0.0.0.0 if the ATA is on a public IP, or the default gateway for DW1000 and other NAT systems. |
| DNS1IP | IP of First DNS Server |
| DNS2IP | IP of Second DNS Server |
| NPrintf | IP address where debug prserv output goes, plus ".9001". Example: if your PC is 10.29.1.10, put "10.29.1.10.9001" here. |
| DialPlan | "PN" plus the PIN, such as "PN123456789#". Do not forget the characters "PN" first! |
Then check that the rest of the settings match the image above.
When finished, hit "Apply" and the ATA will reboot. Reload the page and verify again that the settings are correct.
